Kitchen Chairs

Spending alot of time in the kitchen area?
It is the most used in the house and gets a lot of traffic!

Ever noticed the seat of your chairs? Crumbs, no matter how lady like we
try to be, they manage to make their way in and around the chairs. We have many chair's - not naming any precious child's name - that has an
interesting assortment of the day's food. <giggling> Check in and around the
seats backing. I have tried using seat cushions but have found that they do
not like being washed and tend to explode in the dryer. Imagine my surprise when
I opened the dryer to find it full of white fluff! We had quite the giggle
over that one!

It is so nice to be able to invite someone to sit down at your kitchen table
knowing that the chair is crumbless or one that your guest won't stick to!
 time to check those chairs!!!

My favorite tool to use for this job is a good old washcloth and a drop of
liquid detergent. If you feel up to it...go over it with a good hand polish
with your favorite cleaner or furniture polish. This is something you can do
while waiting for your coffee to brew or your water to heat up. Maybe you
can do this while waiting for dinner to cook. It really does not take that
much time and if you do this on a regular basis...5 minutes is really all you
need to accomplish this task.

Kitchen Cabinets

Take 5 minutes to wipe down the outside, inside, around handles and any
exposed area of your kitchen cabinets. It amazes me the drips and spills that
make their way down the side of my cabinets.
Double check the areas that get touched the most...around door/drawer
handles.

Open the doors/drawers and wipe those inside areas down.

Don't forget the edges around the doors/drawers. Dust and spots like to
collect in those areas. Do you ever wonder how they make their way there?

Do you have an island in your kitchen or bar? Wipe down areas where drips
and spills collect but also the areas where little feet have marked the wall.

My favorite tools to use in cleaning these areas is a good old washcloth
with a dab of Vinegar and water very hot water....

Kitchen/Dining Room Tips and Thoughts.......

KITHCHEN TIPS!

1.   Freezer Breakfasts
When making pancakes for breakfast, make a double or triple batch. Let
the
extras cool, then cut up into bite sized portions. Freeze on a cookie
sheet for
about an hour. Then put them all into a freezer bag.

On school days, just take out the amount you need, microwave for 45
seconds,
pour come syrup into a short glass or cup, and you have warm pancake
dippers!

Sewing Room

Here are Pictures of my Sewing Room....

This room is also our diaper chaging area and homeschool book storage area.

Below my table I store my fabric. I also have a basket on top of the table.

I have a Bernina 180 and a Bernina 1300DC serger.

My children us a Husqvarna designerll to sew on. We found it on Ebay

for 100.00 + shipping....I still prefer Bernina hands down though!

I open out my folding table to my cutting.

Craft Room/Diaper making area

Our craft room is also the same room as the sewing room.

Until we move into our new home we combine alot of things

into this room.

I store the paper glue craft sticks basket making painting etc.

In the dresser and in the wall cabinets.

I sew our cloth diapers and have two snap presses and snaps on the table.

Using baskets small and large make a nice storage area to hold things and look

good too.

Here are a few pictures of my diaper making supplies:

This snap press I use for metal snaps.  The green/blue one for poly resin.

My plastic box I use to hold the snaps. Another idea is using a drwer systen that you can get at Lowes to use for nuts and bolts...it works well too.

These are my sewing weights I really am thankful for these! Better than using pins. See the diaper pattern? This is an original! Naomi Jones is the designer.

Her comapany name is " Mini Blessings" If you would like a pattern contact me!
