Birthing for the Lord

I am just a Momma.

have my babies at home unassited just my husband - God -baby -and me.

I want to share with you the things I have learned. I am working on a book

Our UC birth story of Anna Marie. July 11th,2005 3:05 am

The Lord blessed this birth and answered

many prayers for how we wanted the birth

to be. Iam so thankful for God's grace that

he poured upon me and Anna Marie. I

give him all the Glory....

Labor started at 2:30 am with waking me up

to go to the bathroom it was there that I had two

really good contractions and wondered if this was it.

I went to the bathroom had a loose stool and then

felt very hot I walked into our bedroom turned on

our fan then reached for the silver bowl in our

birth supplies I felt nauseated Within seconds I did

vomit a little and that woke up Mark along with that came contractions, I knew then that this was labor.

I told him I was in labor.

I was on the side of our bed standing.

I grabbed a pillow and bent down over the bed

with my head in the pillow..after a few really good

contractions and much prayers from my dear

husband I started to feel like pushing...

When I did I felt a really big ouch Mark looked

and the baby’s head and the arm were both coming out the same time..He asked me to breath slow and

let God and baby push out baby.

It worked and she came out in two other

pushes. She had a short cord and was very quiet when daddy was holding her. I labored for 35 minutes.

All is well with the baby and with me.

Anna Marie is doing a great job nursing.

She is sleeping a lot today and I have been cramping

a lot from the uterus going back into place. I am taking

a tinture called after ease and that is helping alot.

The children have been keeping towels in the dryer

for me to lay over my belly which feels wonderful!

I am amazed at how fast it all happened and how the

Lord answered our prayers in the birth.Though the children were fast asleep and all the planning with them being a big part of it and the camcording and picture taking did not happen it still  was the the way the Lord wanted it to be. I am blessed to have Him in my life and feel honored that HE gave us another arrow to raise for HIs Glory.

Having just Mark and I  in labor and it being quiet in early morning hour really was a blessing to us.

I am thankful for the short labor and the sweet comfort

the Lord provided for me through my dear husband.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Top Ten reasons to birth at home author of Unassisted Homebirth

Top Ten reasons to birth at home

  1. You don’t have to leave the nest to add to it.
  2. You have control over your labor and birth.
  3. The father is intimately involved rather than a passive observer on the sidelines.
  4. Your birth will be surrounded by love, not strangers and equipment.
  5. No one ridicules you, hurries you or coaxes you to take drugs.
  6. You are more apt to have a safer birth.
  7. You are more likely to experience a pleasurable birth.
  8. No one will treat the baby as an object (poking, weighing, measuring, taken away for testing and experimentation).
  9. Less postpartum depression.
  10. You will experience tremendous awe and reverence for life. There is a greater likelihood of achieving the highest level of human fulfillment on Earth.

(page 54, Unassisted Homebirth: An Act of Love)

There’s a massive crisis going on in delivery rooms everyday. If you do not prepare yourself for childbirth, your deepest desire for a satisfying moment may become your worst nightmare and most disturbing memory.

As author of Unassisted Homebirth: An Act of Love, I believe that my book is an important resource RIGHT NOW - regardless of what is occurring technologically. And my book can help anyone who is pregnant - even those who do not desire an unassisted homebirth, but want to improve upon their knowledge and trust in the birth process. You should be panic stricken about medical professionals who couldn’t care less that you have a peaceful, emotional, sexual, feminine birth.

The “Un” site
In addition to unassisted homebirth, you will find more unconventional and unusual ideas here: unassisted miscarriage, unschooling, and even unassisted death. In the coming months, I will add a section called “unnatural birth control.” (artificial contraception).
I’m the type of person who is always thinking and asking questions. I want to live life with passion, adventure and meaning. As you puruse this website, ask yourself the following questions: Do our institutions serve us well? Are we able to experience the fullness of life when we submit to conventional practices?
Unconventional thinking requires time and effort and unconventional living takes guts. On my life’s journey, I believe that I will continue to shed what is unnecessary and unnatural. Simple living is very rich indeed.

Second stage of labor

Second stage of labor

For Mother:

This is the hard part!!!!

1. Need encouragement please read to me

“Encouragement for mother”

scriptures, prayer and sweet nothings for

me to hear reminding me I am almost there....

3. Need to drink one quart every two hours. Take vitamin c 500 mg. Every four hours.

4. Need to change positions every two hours.

5.learn to yield to my labor, I will have an easier time.

6.Remember it is impossible to be tense and praise the Lord at the same time. use his name in breathing.

( thank you Jesus, Ha-Ha-Hallelujah etc.)

For Husband:

1. Always talk in a quiet and reassuring manner.

2. Encourage me A lot!!

3. Hold my hand or my feet or what ever I may need.

When the pushing begins:

1. Watch for cord around neck.

2. Check for lip...

3. Do not chant push, it will happen on God’s time.

Second stage of Labor

in front of baby coming out.
